MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan Track & Field hosted the 118th Annual Indiana Little State Championships Thursday and Friday, the longest-running event in Track & Field history. The men's team would take home a second-place team finish, while the women would knock off thirteen Indiana schools for a first-place finish over NCAA D2 Indianapolis by 12.83 points.
The meet was highlighted by the Wildcat women's discus group, who claimed six Top-10 finishes in a field of 46 athletes, including first, second, and third. As a squad, the Wildcats currently hold four of the Top-12 tosses in the entire NAIA, including Princess Kara, Merideth Devries, and Taylor Waterway, who sit one through three, respectively. Kara just sits 6.65m off the NAIA Outdoor record.
On the men's side of things, the 4x800 squad of Clayton Reichanadter, Weston Kundo, Charlie Young, and Steven Ott finished with a time of 7:41.69, currently good enough for the second-fastest in the NAIA this season.
