COLUMBUS, OH. - The Wildcat men came out on fire Saturday in Columbus. Starting off the day with four games over 1000 and setting a program record in game 4 with a 1113 game. And finishing the 5 traditional games with an overall average of 205 per person! Freshman Gage Blackford led the way with a fantastic performance. Tallying 1142 pins over the five games and earning himself a 3rd place finish individually and an all tournament team honor. Shea miller was also fantastic all day as he had 5 games over 200 which led to a top 20 finish. As we moved into the 12 baker games the men had some struggles. At one point the Wildcats were 70 pins out of the lead. But settled for a 6th place finish in a very strong field.

MARTIN PERSPECTIVE

• "Overall I am elated about the way the guys handled Saturday. Spare shooting had been a big issue for the last couple tournaments and they came out and made almost all of their spares for the first five games. We have some work to do in bakers but overall I'm happy with the results. We are still a very young team and I really believe we are incredibly close to putting it all together. Our goal before the season was to make Sectionals and I really believe that should be an expectation at this point with the talent level on this team. Everyone stepped up and made shots this weekend. And even more importantly when some tough roster decisions were made throughout the day the guys stayed together and supported the team and were fantastic teammates. I love this team and can't wait to see what we do the rest of the season"

LOOKING FORWARD

• The Wildcats will travel to Wayne Webb Bowl in Columbus, Ohio to bowl in the American Heartland Bowling Association #3 on November 4th.
