MARION, IND. - No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan volleyball continued their unbeaten ways on Saturday afternoon. This time sweeping Taylor to advance in the Crossroads League Tournament.

 

THE ESSENTIALS

• Location: Marion, Ind. | Indiana Wesleyan University
• Records: IWU - 30-0, 18-0 CRL | TU - 15-19, 5-13 CRL 
• NAIA Top-25 Ranking: IWU - #1 | TU - unranked

MATCH VITALS

• The Wildcats held a 2 point lead midway through set one. 5 straight IWU points forced 2 timeouts from Taylor, but Indiana Wesleyan continued to pour it on and finished off the Trojans 25-15.
• Similar to set one, IWU only held a 2 point lead at 13-11, but pulled away down the stretch before some late point from the Trojans in a 25-19 win.
• The Wildcats took full control in set three, taking an 11-3 lead, and coasting to a 25-11 victory to finish off the sweep.
• Eva Joldersma led the Wildcat attack with 17 kills. Marta Zambetti added 12.
• Dayessi Luis tallied 4 aces.
• Julia Price had 5 blocks. Zambetti and Luis each added 4.
• Abbigail Porter led the team with 40 assists.
• Porter also tallied 12 digs to lead the team.

LOOKING FORWARD

• The Wildcats advance to the Semifinals of the Crossroads League Tournament. The game is scheduled for November 8th at 4pm.
