MARION, Ind. - No. 11 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball opened up Crossroads League play on Saturday and defeated No. 17 Huntington University with a final score of 86-74. After starting off the game close for the first five minutes, the Wildcats found themselves with the advantage quickly with a ten-point lead entering the second half, shooting an efficient 61% from the field. IWU was able to maintain that lead all the way through the second half and secured their fifth win of the season.

WHAT HAPPENED

• The first five minutes of the first half consisted of a close game, but IWU found themselves with a 10-point lead entering the second half after shooting 61% from the field.
• Javan Buchanan scored 20 of his 22 points in the first half.
• IWU was able to hold onto the lead for the entirety of the second half, ending the game with a final score of 86-74.
• Nathan Childress poured in 17 of this 19 points in the second half.

• 60: The Wildcats were strong in the paint with 60 of their 86 points coming from the paint.
• 37: IWU grabbed 38 rebounds to out-rebound Huntington by 16 boards.
• 12: IWU scored 12 fast break points off of 5 steals and 3 blocks.
