MARION, IND. - No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan volleyball continued their unbeaten season Saturday night as they swept MVNU in the Crossroads League Tournament Championship. This marks the third sweep this season over the Cougars. The Wildcats claimed their first Crossroads League Tournament Championship since the 2020 season.

MATCH VITALS

• Early in the first set the Wildcats took a 10-4 lead. IWU kept extending the lead in the first pushing the lead to 9 at 18-9.  The two teams traded points for the rest of the set but IWU finished off MVNU with a 25-18 win to go up 1-0
• A 4-0 run early in set two gave the Wildcats an 11-7 lead. Another 4-0 run extended the lead to 16-10. The Wildcats dominated the rest of the set, winning 25-14.
• IWU executed down the stretch to win the first set 25-22.
• The teams battled early in set three with IWU maintaining a slight edge. IWU began to pull away at the end of the set and finished off the sweep 25-18.

• Eva Joldersma - 27 kills, .368 hitting percentage
• Abbigail Porter - 38 assists, 10 digs
• Cadee Notter - 16 digs
• Marissa Mullins - 4 blocks

MOATS PERSPECTIVE

• "I'm so proud of this team," said Head Coach Candace Moats. "We love how they come to the gym every day wanting to get better, it really shows in big games like this."

LOOKING FORWARD

• The Wildcats will learn their opponent in the NAIA Opening Round during the NAIA Selection Show on Monday.
