NO. 3 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DEFEATS COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS AFTER CLOSE SECOND HALF

RION, Ind. - No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan Women's Basketball capped off the Leah Whittaker Memorial Classic with another victory, this time facing College of the Ozarks and concluding the game with a final score of 79-89. An eventful match, the Wildcats started sharp by shooting 50% from the field and eventually secured a nine-point lead by the end of the first quarter. After entering the second half with that nine-point lead, IWU found themselves in foul trouble and tied with CO at 56-56. After shooting 68% from the field and tallying six steals in the fourth quarter, the Scarlet and Gray fired back up to secure the victory. Junior Lilli Frasure was the top scorer for IWU with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, and a steal.

  • Indiana Wesleyan was strong on the defense in the first half with nine steals to continue their nine-point lead into the second half.
  • The Wildcats entered the fourth quarter tied with the Ozarks and in foul trouble at 56-56. 
  • After a close fourth quarter, the Wildcats had six steals and shot 68% from the field to secure the victory with a final score of 79-89.
