FORT WAYNE, Ind. - After an exhilarating game on both sides of the court, No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball found themselves just short of No. 24 Indiana Tech in their first game in the CL/WHAC Challenge with a final score of 83-85. Sophomore Javan Buchanan led IWU in the scoring department with 17 points, along with seven rebounds and two assists. With nine of the ten lead changes occurring throughout the second half, IWU had over 31 minutes with the lead before going down 78-79 with 3:38 minutes to go and unable to retake the lead. This marks just the second season opening loss for the Wildcats in the last 19 seasons.
