MARION, Ind. - No. 18 Indiana Wesleyan men's soccer dominated Taylor University in an eventful night including a three-goal game and a power outage at IWU Soccer Field. The Wildcats found the net in the 33rd minute with some great ball movement from senior Trey Denigan to find senior Giuseppe Santacroce in the box for his first goal of the day. After ending the first half with a 1-0 lead, Indiana Wesleyan found two more goals sourcing from senior Winter Casseus and a second goal from Santacroce to close off the victory. Improving to third in the Crossroads League with a 3-0-3 record, the Wildcats will stay at home to face Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Saturday.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Giuseppe Santacroce scored a wonderful volley finish after a cross from Trey Denigan in the 33rd minute.
• Senior Winter Casseus found the back of the net after the TU keeper deflected a shot from sophomore Brandon Nyagurungo in the 48th minute. 
• Giuseppe Santacroce found his second goal of the day in the 73rd minute after his first shot missed off the keeper for a rebound goal.

NOTABLE NUMBERS

• 22: 22 shots were fired from the IWU attack today, with 14 shots on goal, showing a very productive day.
• 8: Goalkeeper Aaron Carr secured eight saves on the day to keep a clean sheet for the Wildcats.
• 2: Giuseppe Santacroce found the back of the net twice today, springing Indiana Wesleyan to a secure victory.

• "Really proud of the way we responded in this game," said Aaron Carr. "A lot of guys stepped up today to get another three points and a shutout. Weather made it tough, but we were able to come together to get a hard fought win in the Crossroads League!"
