HUNTINGTON, Ind. - No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball made the 40-minute drive north for a Crossroads League road game against Huntington University. The Wildcats held a single-digit lead for most of the game and pulled away with a 22-7 4^th quarter to earn the hard-fought win over the Foresters, 83-61. IWU improves to 13-3 overall with a 5-1 record in league play.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Both teams shot over 60% from the field in the 1st quarter, resulting in a 25-24 lead for Huntington.
• Indiana Wesleyan took a four-point lead into halftime after Klair Merrell scored all eight of her points in the 2nd quarter.
• The Wildcats continued to attack the basket in the 3rd, shooting 11-15 from the free-throw line and taking a 61-54 lead to the final frame.
• The red and grey were finally able to extend their lead after holding the Foresters to just seven points in the 4th quarter to secure the 83-61 lead.

NOTABLE NUMBERS

• 48: IWU once again held the advantage inside with 48 points in the paint compared to 28 for HU.
• 27: The Wildcat's 27 made free-throw are their highest total of the season.
• 7: Freshman Jade Hovey saw her highest production of the season with 7 points in 19 minutes of action.
