MEN'S SOCCER DROPS FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON TO NO. 16 UNOH

MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan men's soccer hosted the No. 16 ranked University of Northwestern Ohio to Wildcat Soccer Field on Wednesday night. The Racers downed the Wildcats to give them their first loss of the year by a final score of 2-1.

  • UNOH netted the first goal of the game and went into halftime up 1-0.
  • Freshman Juan Aspillaga scored the equalizer in the 65th minute off an assist from Cade Binkerd.
  • The Racers quickly responded with the eventual game-winner less than one minute later.
  • Aspillaga earned his first collegiate goal.

  • "After a good week last week, we were disappointed in our first half performance tonight. We came out flat, and we were punished for it. That half was the difference in the game. However, more games lie ahead and we have to refocus ourselves and move forward."
