PREVIEW

WEEK 3: INDIANA WESLEYAN (2-1) vs. CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY (MICH.) (1-2)
No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan remains at home for the second consecutive Saturday against No. 15 Concordia (Mich.).
The Wildcats are 2-1 after coming off a 63-6 route of Trinity International. Concordia is coming off a 28-20 road loss to Roosevelt.

KICKIN' CANCER

IWU will partner with Northwestern Mutual for the annual Kickin' Cancer event.
Since 2019, IWU and Northwestern Mutual have raised over $5,000 towards the fight.
During the game, each field goal, punt, or kickoff that IWU has will result in a $50 donation toward childhood cancer research.
Individuals will also have the opportunity to purchase lemonade and shirts, play games in the entrance patio, or donate money to raise money for Alex's Lemonade Stand.

THE SERIES

IWU trails the all-time series 3-0.
This marks the first time in the series the game will take place in Marion, Ind.

TEAM LEADERS

Xander Stokes leads the passing attack with 530 yards through the air while completing 54-of-82 (65.85 percent).
Markell Stephens-Peppers has a team-best 200 yards and two scores. Jacquez Carter has 156 receiving yards on 15 catches.
Daniel Weems has a team-high 199 yards rushing, scampering an astounding nine yards per carry. He has a team-best three touchdowns. Dederrian Williams is not far behind him, totaling 191 yards on the ground with two scores.
Ethan Collins has hit three-of-four field goals and is averaging nearly 40 yards a punt with a long of 68.
Justin Johnson's 23.17 yards on punt returns leads the way while the standout has a touchdown to his credit on the kick-off team. He is averaging 30.57 yards per return.
Clayton Mosher leads the defense with 20 total tackles and four tackles for loss. He has a team-best 12 solo stops.
Isaac Abeo has 4.5 tackles for loss, including 2.5 sacks. Lane Ruby has a pair of interceptions.

For Concordia, Gavin Brooks leads the offense with 763 yards through the air. He has hit 83-of-142 but has thrown seven picks. However, he has six touchdown passes.
On the ground, Concordia is led by Heath Flower's 78 total yards and two scores. Brooks has 66 yards while Brandon Stewart and James Carpenter each have a touchdown run.
Seeger DeGayner and Donovan Johnson each have two receiving scores. The dyad each has over 200 receiving yards. DeGayner leads the way with 239 while Johnson has 218.
DeGayner leads the special teams with seven returns for 321 yards and a score – one that went 100 yards.
Defensively, Casey Rauch has 25 total tackles, including a team-best 10 over the solo variety. Gerald McHenry, Jr., has a pair of interceptions.

WHAT TO WATCH

This week, there are several items to watch. However, one of the most intriguing is on special teams.
Concordia is giving up just 12.5 yards per kickoff return while averaging 30.0 yards per return.
