IWU ATHLETICS PARTNERS WITH OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE SPORTS

MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan Athletics joins partnership with Optimum Performance Sports (OPS) in a five-year agreement starting in the 2022-23 school year.  OPS' mission is to make communities healthier and more active through their three main service lines: sports medicine, sports training, and health and fitness.

"Fort Wayne Orthopedics is proud to be part of the IWU Sports Medicine team and look forward to expanding our services to the Marion community," said Fort Wayne Orthopedics President Jerald Cooper, M.D..  "Through our partnership with Optimum Performance Sports we are able to deliver a complete continuum of care and outstanding sports medicine services to the IWU Athletic Department."

The OPS team of sports medicine physicians from FWO and certified performance trainers work hand-in-hard to provide all athletes and clients the ultimate continuum of care.  OPS has made it a priority to have a positive impact within its geographical footprint, and is proud to extend their sports medicine services to Indiana Wesleyan University.

"As we begin our 2022-23 seasons, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with OPS.  Once we learned more about the organization, their facilities, the services they provide, their leaders, and their doctors, it became apparent they would be an outstanding group to serve our student-athletes," said Athletic Director Deane Webb.  "We're looking forward to working with them for years to come."

Gearing up for the 2022-23 school year, newly named Head Athletic Trainer, Zach Hobson, is looking forward to partnering with OPS.  "We are excited for this new partnership between OPS and Indiana Wesleyan University," said Hobson.  "We believe that the Sports Medicine team at OPS will enable us to provide our student-athletes with high-quality care and the resources necessary to compete at a high level."
