MARION, Ind. - IWU Baseball defeated the Goshen College Maple Leafs in both games on Saturday, earning the series sweep and out-scoring the Maple Leafs 54-16 across the four-game set. The Wildcats scored nine runs in the final two innings in game one leading to a 12-2 victory. The bats stayed hot in game two as the Wildcats put up 11 runs in the first three innings and took the game 15-6. IWU now sits just two games out of first place in the Crossroads League.

- Freshman Darien Pugh had a big day at the plate. He had three hits including a home run, three runs scored, and three RBIs.
- Lucas Goodin added three hits including a two-run blast in the seventh inning. Goodin has surpassed double-digit home runs for the first time in his career.
- MJ Stavola and Zach Rabe both had two hits, Stavola added three runs and two RBIs.
- Drue Young earned the win, he went five and two-thirds innings allowing just one earned run and striking out eight along the way.
- The Wildcats combined for six extra-base hits in the game, five doubles and a home run off the bat of Lucas Goodin.
- Zach Rabe had three hits including a double, he also scored three runs and had three RBIs.
- IWU stole six bases in the game, MJ Stavola and Jeff Morton had two each.
- Caleb Olson got the win. He pitched four innings and struck out five.
- The Wildcats have just 11 game remaining and eight conference games left before the Crossroads League Tournament. They take on Shawnee State University in a doubleheader on Tuesday. Game one begins at 2 p.m.
