MARION, Ind. - No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan softball defeated conference-foe Bethel University 9-2 in game one and 10-0 in game two. A Trinity Medina homered with 3 RBIs in game one in the sixth inning was followed with a Julianne Bell grand slam sending in 4 RBIs finished off game two in the fifth inning.

• Wildcats outhit Pilots 12-2.
• Miranda Wehrle started the Wildcats out with a homer with Jennah Yost on base.
• Medina finished the game with a homer that collected 3 RBIs scoring Aubrey Gearhart and Chloe Tragesser.
• IWU highlighted with nine RBIs, three coming from Medina and two apiece from Tragesser and Wehrle.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS

 

• Wildcats finished the double header off with a Bell grand slam scoring four runs to end the game via mercy rule.
• IWU collected eight RBIs on ten runs. Bell with four RBIs, Tragesser and Wyatt each added two.
• Wyatt scored a team's best three runs while adding three hits.
• IWU's best at the plate with no Wildcat striking out and Alyssa Wagner throwing in 10 strikeouts.
