UPLAND, Ind. - No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball escaped a wild one on the road Tuesday, topping County foe Taylor University 79-72. The win extends IWU's streak over Taylor to 23 games, dating back to January 10, 2013.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Taylor kicked off the contest on a 10-3 run, forcing a quick Indiana Wesleyan timeout. 
• Dan Largey would score the Wildcats first 11 points of the contest. Griffin Kliewer would be the next Wildcat to enter the books, converting the old fashing three-point play. Largy would knock down a triple with .39-second left in the first half, giving him 16 points at the half. 
• Spencer Piercefield would net his first triple of the contest with 6:36 left in the first half, also giving IWU their first lead of the game. Luke Stephens would push the lead to four, with a triple on the next IWU possession. 
• Seth Maxwell gave IWU a 62-61 lead with 5-minutes remaining in the first half. IWU would push their lead to 8, after a 9-2 run, eating up four and half minutes of play.
