MARION, Ind. - Students may have been gone for Christmas Break, but Luckey Arena was rocking on Saturday afternoon as No. 11 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball battled Roosevelt University. It was a single-digit game for a majority of the contest before the Wildcats strung together a 16-10 run to finish the game and pick up their 10th win of the season, 77-63.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Roosevelt shot 10-15 from the field in the opening 10 minutes to take an early 22-16 lead.
• IWU collected 4 steals while shooting 3-6 from three to close out the first half and regain the lead, 36-32.
• The Wildcats asserted their dominance in the paint to start the second half with a 16-4 advantage.
• A layup by Javan Buchanan with 4:13 left capped off a 14-4 run, giving the Wildcats their largest lead of the game, 67-53.
  The Lakers cut the deficit to 8, but a 8-2 run to close out the game gave the Wildcats the 77-63 win.

NOTABLE NUMBERS

• 2,000 - IWU recognized Seth Maxwell before the game, IWU's eighth member of the 2,000 point club!
• 23 - Roosevelt kept the game close with 23 second chance points.
