After 90-minutes of play, IWU and host school No. 3 University of the Cumberlands were all square at zero. The Patriots would work quickly in overtime, scoring 8-minutes into the first overtime. Despite multiple corner kicks and added pressure, time would expire on the Wildcats ending their season in the NAIA Opening Round for the third consecutive season.
