MARION, IND. - No. 17 Indiana Wesleyan volleyball came up short in a thrilling 4-set match against Grant County rival Taylor University. The final score of each set was within five points as neither team was able to gain separation in the match.  The loss ends Indiana Wesleyan's six game winning streak and drops them to 20-6 on the season and 11-4 in the Crossroads League.

MATCH VITALS

• The teams traded points for most of set one, but the Trojans escaped the set with a 25-23 victory.
• The Wildcats were on fire to start set two, jumping out to a 9-3 lead. Taylor battled back and kept the score close, but IWU pulled out the 25-20 win.
• The Wildcats jumped out to an early 11-6 lead, but the Trojans scored 6 straight out of a timeout to take a 12-11 lead. The score stayed close until Taylor went on a 6-2 run to take set three 25-21.
• IWU held a 13-12 lead midway through the fourth set, but the Trojans went on two runs of 5-1 to take control, winning the set 25-21.
• Eva Joldersma led the way with 25 kills.
• Cassie Gregory tallied 49 assists.
• Ally Barkhaus totaled 14 digs.
