MISHAWAKA, IND. - No. 17 Indiana Wesleyan volleyball took down the Bethel Pilots in a three set sweep on Wednesday night. The Pilots had won nine straight matches leading up to the match, with their last loss also coming against the Wildcats on September 17th. IWU moves to 19-5 overall and 10-3 in the Crossroads league.

MATCH VITALS

• IWU used a 12-3 run midway through the first set to seize control as they took the set 25-16.
• The teams battled in a tightly contested second set. After Bethel tied the set at 19, the Wildcats went on a 6-1 run and took the set 25-20.
• IWU used a strong start in the third set to jump out to a 20-11 lead. Bethel battled back, pulling within 3 points at 21-18. The Wildcats were able to escape the late run by the Pilots and finished the sweep with a 25-20 victory in the third set.
• Eva Joldersma paced the Wildcat attack with 18 kills and added two aces.
• Victoria Johnson and Cassie Gregory  posted 4 blocks each.
• Cassie Gregory also tallied a team high 36 assists.
• Cadee Notter led the team with 12 digs.
• The Pilots committed 24 errors while the Wildcats only committed 14.

MOATS PERSPECTIVE

• "The team showed tremendous focus and poise tonight against a very good Bethel team. The defense was stellar with some great saves that inspired the team! i thought Cassie ran the offense very well! It was a fun match to watch!"
