BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan softball team lost an 11-3 decision to No. 16 Campbellsville Tuesday afternoon, ending their 2021 season in NAIA National Championship play.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Campbellsville broke a scoreless contest with a run in the top of the third, but IWU plated three runs in the bottom of the frame for a 3-1 edge.
• Trinity Medina was hit by a pitch and moved to second on Julianne Bell's base hit to left field. Jennah Yost laid down a well-executed sacrifice bunt, pushing runners to second and third. 
• With two down, Miranda Wehrle singled home Bell. Hannah Miller followed her up with an RBI single that scored Tragresser, giving the Wildcats a 2-1 lead. Rebecca Schrad added to the advantage with a base knock to center field, allowing Wehrle to cross home plate for a 3-1 margin.
• The Lady Tigers struck for 10 runs in the fourth for an 11-3 lead they would not relinquish. In the fifth, Hannah Miller walked with two down and Schrad singled, putting two runners on. However, a foul ball ended the contest.
• For the game, Schrad led the way with two base hits. Yost, Wehrle, Miller, Makenna Pace and Bell had one hit each. Miller, Schrad and Wehrle had one RBI apiece. Bell, Tragresser and Wehrle all crossed home plate once apiece.
• Danielle Munn, Mckenzey Ridge, Alyssa Wagner and Addie Benham all saw time in the circle.
