MARION, Ind. – The No. 12 Indiana Wesleyan softball team improved to 21-3 on the season with a sweep of Huntington by scores of 5-2 and 8-0, highlighted by a no-hitter from Danielle Munn.

INSIDE THE BOX – Game 1

• The Wildcats posted a run in the second and third innings, but the visitors knotted the score in the top of the third. It stayed that way until a three-run inning in the sixth for the 5-2 win.
• Kamryn Buck and Rebecca Schrad led the way with two hits apiece. Schrad scored a team-best two runs in the contest while Buck's three RBI led everyone. 
• Of the eight hits, three went for extra bases – round-trippers from Buck and Schrad and a double by Chloe Tragresser.
• In the circle, Alyssa Wagner tossed a complete game. She struck out seven batters and gave up two earned runs on four hits. She threw 138 pitches. 
• The Wildcats got on the board in the second stanza when Buck singled in Schrad, who had reached on a single. In the third, Tragresser's double plated Julianne Bell, who led off the inning with a walk and a steal.
• Tied at 2-2 in the sixth, Schrad led off the frame with a solo round-tripper. After Maddy Margraf reached on an error and was replaced by Zoe Fountain, Buck smacked a two-run homer for the final margin.

INSIDE THE BOX – Game 2

• The Wildcats scored three runs in the first, two in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth to invoke the mercy rule in the 8-0 no-hitter.
• Danielle Munn allowed just one walk while not giving up a hit in the superb pitching performance. She struck out five en route to the no-hit shutout.
• Miranda Wehrle's single plated Jennah Yost and came around to score on Hannah Miller's deep single to left center field. Buck doubled home Caroline Jones for a 3-0 advantage.
• Makenna Pace's infield base knock scored Fountain for a 4-0 edge. With the bases full, Bell reached on a base on balls to score Miller, giving the team a 5-0 lead.
• Wehrle launched a two-run homer in the fourth frame, scoring Tragresser. The game ended when Addie Benham laced a double to left center field, plating Pace.

DANIELLE DOES IT

• Danielle Munn was spectacular in the nightcap. She threw just 65 pitches in the no-hit effort, picking up the win. Munn faced 16 batters, striking out five and nearly tossed a perfect game.  

WEHRLE'S WORLD

• Miranda Wehrle recorded three hits, three RBI and scored a pair of runs. She blasted a homer as well. It marked her 10^th round-tripper of the season, including her third in the last five games. She's batting an astounding .481 as well with 29 RBI. This marked the fifth time she had five hits in a game and the fifth time she posted at least three RBI.

NEXT TIME OUT

• The Wildcats return to action Friday when they host Grace in a doubleheader starting at 6 p.m.
