MANGAS SET TO RECEIVE BEVO FRANCIS AWARD SATURDAY

MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan senior guard Kyle Mangas will finally receive his Bevo Francis Small College Basketball award Saturday after a COVID delayed presentation. This invite-only event will recognize Kyle for his success during the 2019-2020 season, where he was named Small College Basketball Player of the Year and NAIA National Player of the Year.

The Warsaw, Indiana native averaged 26.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game last season. Mangas poured in a total of 860 points, which featured 19 games with at least 25 points and a 40-point performance against Madonna. His week-in and week-out productivity earned him six Crossroads League Player of the Week awards, and two NAIA Player of the Week awards.

The Wildcats will wrap up their regular season Saturday, when they host Mount Vernon Nazarene University at 1 p.m. Before the contest, Mangas and the rest of the Wildcat seniors will be recognized in a special senior day ceremony. As a reminder due to COVID, fans can not attend these events in person.
