GAME HIGHLIGHTS
  • Right out of the gate, Kelli Damman connected on a 3-point basket to put the Wildcats ahead. The rest of the quarter both teams continued to exchange baskets point by point. Wildcats were in for a battle leading 16-15 after the first quarter.
  • Second quarter was led by Jordan Reid and Lilli Frasure who each posted six points. The battle continued as Wildcats led 34-32 at the break.
  • A minute into the second half, Columbia tied the game 36-36 and IWU went on a run. A thread of plays starting with a layup made by Maddie Lawrence, block by Adrianna Trexler which led to a Reid layup on the other end of the floor, and a Frasure three-pointer put the Wildcats up seven. Wildcats led Cougars 54-50 going into the final stanza.
  • Wildcats weren't going to let down in the fourth. For the second game in a row, Frasure shinned in the final quarter of play scoring ten points.  She went 8-10 from the free throw line down the final stretch. Wildcats walked away with a 77-69 victory.
