MEN'S BASKETBALL SLIPS UP AT CORNERSTONE

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball moved to 1-1 on the season Saturday, falling 99-91 to Cornerstone University. It's just the third time in ten years IWU has lost to the Golden Eagles. 




QUICK HIGHLIGHTS
  • IWU grabbed 22 rebounds, the most in a game since 2015 when they grabbed 23, which set the program record.
  • All five starters scored in double figures, led by Seth Maxwell who finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Tim Adetukasi and Dan Largey also recorded a double-double in the contest. 
  • Indiana Wesleyan was ice cold from deep, shooting 6-of-22 for 27%.
  • The Wildcats failed to record a block for the second straight game. The last time the Wildcats went back to back games without a block was 2018 during their Christmas break trip.
  • Cornerstone collected 24 points from their bench players, while Indiana Wesleyan mustered 10. Griffin Kliewer was the top non-starter for IWU with 6 points.

  • IWU hosts Olivet Nazarene on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for the Wildcats home opener.
