UNDEFEATED STREAK SNAPPED ON THE ROAD FOR NO. 1 @IWUHOOPS

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball fell for the first time this season on Wednesday 91-87 to Grace College. It is the Lancers first win over Indiana Wesleyan since 2016. The loss also snapped IWU's 26-game win streak,  the longest streak in program history.

WHAT WENT DOWN
  • IWU opened the game on an 11-2 run after winning the tip. IWU would never trail in the first half. 
  • Both teams were hot in the first half, with IWU shooting 58% and GC shooting 54%. Both clubs coughed the ball up eight times, both resulting in 10 points off turnovers.
  • Grace College saw 15 points from their bench in the first half, with Indiana Wesleyan mustering three bench points. It was all square in the paint, with both teams scoring 18 points. 
  • Jake Wadding scored nine points in the first half and ten points in the first five minutes of the second half, cruising to a Grace College best 21. 
  • IWU's 17 turnovers are the most by the Wildcats in five games.
