• IWU led by four after a quarter of play, holding IT to just three made shots. IT earned 6 of their 13 points, shooting 6-for-6 from the charity line, while IWU attempted zero free throws. IWU shot their first free throw in the second quarter with 9:47 on the clock, and Maddie Lawrence made both. 
• The Wildcats opened up the second quarter on a 6-0 run forcing a Tech timeout with IWU up ten. Out of the timeout, Indiana Tech knocked down their second three of the game, shooting 2-of-8 through 12 minutes of play. 
• Indiana Wesleyan took a 13-point lead with 2:19 left in the first half. They went to the locker room at the half leading 35-22, their largest lead of the game at that point. It's just the second time this season the Warriors have trailed at the half with IWU's 13 point lead the largest hole they have found themselves in at the break. 
• At intermission, the Wildcats held the Warriors to just 25% shooting from the field while IWU shot 39%.
• The third quarter was all offense for both teams, with Tech shooting 53% and IWU 50% from the field. Tech outscored IWU 21-14 in the quarter, a high for points scored in a quarter for Tech through three-quarters of play. It was IWU's lowest quarter of offensive productivity.
• After a wide-open missed layup by Tech, Gabby Suarez knocked down an IWU three with 2:56 left in the quarter, giving IWU another 10-point lead. IWU led 49-43 after 30 minutes of play.
  The Warriors chipped away at the IWU lead in the fourth, cutting it to five with 3:54 left, forcing an IWU timeout. The lead was cut to two points with 55-seconds left forcing another IWU timeout.
• Out of the timeout, Anne Secrest netted her 13th point of the game, eating up 28 seconds of the clock. Tech matched it basket for basket cutting IWU's lead back to two. Out of the timeout, IWU committed an over-and-back giving Tech the ball with 17 seconds left. 
• The defensive pressure was turned up by IWU, forcing an Emma Tuominen desperation shot. The rebound fumbled around until hitting off IWU in front of the Tech scorestable, setting up a Tech desperation three with 2 seconds left.
