Box Score MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan men’s basketball kept their home streak alive Saturday, defeating Goshen, 95-78. The Wildcats move to 22-4 on the season and a perfect 12-0 at home. Seth Maxwell collected a game-best 26 points while grabbing nine rebounds. Kyle Mangas added 18 points, second-most than any other player while adding eight rebounds and six assists.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Mangas’ 30-point scoring streak was snapped Saturday after a quiet 18-point performance. His streak of five straight 30-point games is the most in the NAIA this season. His eight rebounds are the most he has grabbed in six games while his six assists tonight are the most in nine games.
- Maxwell’s 26 points, gives him seven games this season with 20 or more points in a game. Maxwell nearly collected his eighth double-double of the season.
- Noah Smith grabbed seven rebounds tying a career-high while adding nine points and five assists. Smith has seven games this season with at least five assists.
THE LEAGUE
- With just four regular-season games, IWU sits in first place of the Crossroads League. IWU holds a one-game advantage over No.5 Marian, and a three-game advantage over third-place No.23 Grace.
- If the season ended today, Taylor and Goshen would not make the Crossroads League Tournament as Huntington holds the tie-breaker over Taylor.
