Box Score INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan men’s basketball fell in overtime Saturday 89-87 to No. 8 Marian University, snapping the Wildcats eleven game win streak. The game featured 27 lead changes and 20 ties.
Kyle Mangas led IWU with 34 points, 30 coming in regulation. Mangas has now scored 30 or more points in his last four games.
INSIDE THE BOX
- IWU forced 13 Knight turnovers in the first half, taking a 13-2 points off turnovers advantage into halftime. IWU ended the game with just 11 turnovers while MU coughed it up 20 times.
- IWU struggled from three, shooting 2-of-12 in the first half. The Knights knocked just two threes in the first half as well, but took just six shots. The Wildcats finished the game 8-of-28 from deep while MU shot 40%.
- Knight Cameron Wolter nearly had a double-double in the first half, scoring 15 points while grabbing eight rebounds. Wolter finished with 19 points and 17 rebounds, both Knight highs.
- Five combined free throws were shot in the first half with all five being made. IWU shot 1-of-1 while MU shot 4-of-4.
