HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan women's soccer wrapped up Crossroads League play Saturday, topping Huntington University, 3-1. The Wildcats netted one goal in the first 45-minutes and two in the second 45-minutes, with Emily Carter collecting two assists, bringing her total to five.
The Wildcats finish with a record of 6-1-2 in League play.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Wildcat season goal leader Sydney Brown pushed her total to eight Saturday when she found the back of the net in the 50th minute.
- Lauren Turner, who is second on the team in goals scored this season, put the match out of reach in the 61st minute for her seventh goal of the season.
- The Foresters attempted zero corner kicks in the contest while IWU fired off four.
LEAGUE TOURNAMENT OUTLOOK
- IWU has played each League school once, which concludes their official League contests. Moving forward, when IWU faces League schools, it will only count towards their overall record and not their League record.
- The League tournament will be seeded based on each teams winning percentage in official League contests only. Marian University, who is unbeaten, will be the No. 1 seed.
- Indiana Wesleyan University currently sits in third place when it comes to winning percentage, with Spring Arbor in second place.
- Spring Arbor still has two League games to play that will count towards their League winning percentage.

- IWU game verse Marian University on Wednesday, October 28th has been canceled.
- The Wildcats take the field next on Saturday, October 31st at Taylor University for a 7 p.m. start.
