Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball completed the season sweep Saturday, downing Bethel University 76-44. Leading by as much as 32 points Saturday, IWU outscored BU 172-102 in their two meetings this season. The Wildcats have won nine of their last ten games.
The Wildcats move to 16-6 on the season, and 7-3 in Crossroads League play. The Pilots drop to 6-16 on the season and still remain winless in League play.
INSIDE THE BOX
- IWU allowed just seven made Pilot baskets in the first half, building their lead to 20 points at the half. Both teams struggled from deep, shooting a combined 5-of-28.
- Indiana Wesleyan grabbed 12 offensive boards in the first half, three more than they finished with in the first meeting between squads. IWU finished with 17, one shy of tying their season-best.
- Dayton Groninger and Anne Secrest led the way for Indiana Wesleyan, scoring 22 and 21 respectively. Secrest added 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
- Nine Wildcats saw action in the contest, with all nine scoring.
