  • IWU has tallied 112 shots through five matches, landing 60 on frame.

  • Freshman, Sam Castaneda earned her third career shutout, while picking up her 15th save of the season.

SEIFFERT PERSPECTIVE

  • “We could tell that our legs were definitely heavy today after playing back to back physical matches. It wasn’t the best-looking soccer but we were able to grit this one out again. This was definitely a good Chicago trip which helped us learn a lot about ourselves. We will keep pressing on every day to get better, but right now we need to rest up and heal up a little bit as we get ready for a nice little set of home matches. We are excited to play in front of our fans and families these next few weeks!”

WHAT’S NEXT

  • IWU returns home, hosting IU South Bend on September 11 at 2 p.m.
