MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan softball split Tuesday’s doubleheader against League foe Huntington, dropping game one 3-1 but rebounding in game two winning 9-3.

GAME 1

• Addie Benham drove in the Wildcat’s lone run scoring Lauren Buckley in the top of the first.
• IWU would strand a total of six Wildcats on base during game one.
• Lauren Buckley was the lone Wildcat to secure two hits, going 2-of-4 from the plate with one run and one stolen base.
• McKenzey Ridge went the distance, allowing eight hits while striking out and walking one.  

GAME 2

• IWU strung together 16 hits marking their second-best outing of the year.
• Rebecca Schrad and Kira Madl owned the batter's box, going 4-of-4 while driving one run apiece.
• Miranda Wehrle broke the game wide open in the top of the second, homering for the fifth time this season driving in three.
• Ridge would toe the rubber in game two as well, throwing seven complete innings, striking out four, giving her 65 strikeouts on the season.
