INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –  No. 16 Indiana Wesleyan trailed 61-58 with 21-seconds left, but a Margot Woughter three would square things up at 61 with 17-seconds left. Macie Lively would put the Knights back in front with just 7-seconds left. The Wildcats would have a chance at the buzzer but would come up short falling 63-61.

FIRST HALF

• MU jumped out to a quick 6-1 advantage before IWU kicked off a 13-2 run of their own behind three Katie triples. IWU would finish the half shooting 5-of-11 from three for 60% while MU attempted just two threes, making one. The Wildcats took a six-point advantage into the half, leading 32-25. 

THIRD QUARTER RUN

• The Knights chipped away at the IWU lead in the third quarter scoring 22 points giving them a three-point advantage headed into the fourth. MU turned up the defense holding the Wildcats to just 4-of-13 shooting from the field for 31%. MU caught first from behind the arc, shooting 3-of-3 during the third quarter while IWU went 0-of-5.

NEXT TIME OUT

• Indiana Wesleyan hosts Grace College in opening round play of the Crossroads League Tournament Tuesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
