Box Score MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball fell to No. 3 Marian Saturday, 71-45 despite trailing by four at halftime. The Knights poured in 42 points from behind the arc on 14-of-28 shooting, while IWU mustered just two made threes.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Indiana Wesleyan began the game on an 8-0 run in the first 3:43. Marian returned the favor with a nine-point run to make the score 9-8, with five minutes to play in the opening frame. MU led by one at the end of the first quarter.
- Macy Willoughby came off the bench for the Knights and scored three 3-point shots in the first quarter.
- Indiana Wesleyan was outscored 22-5 in the third quarter, with Abby Downard leading the way for the Knights scoring eight of her 16 points in the third quarter.
- Dayton Groninger led the Wildcats with 11 points while grabbing ten rebounds for her first double-double of the season.
