Box Score SIOUX CITY, Iowa. – Indiana Wesleyan volleyball continues to make history, downing No. 13 Grand View University, 3-1. With the victory, IWU advances to the NAIA National Championship Quarterfinals.
INSIDE THE BOX
- IWU led by as much as 11 points in the first set. GVU would rally off three straight points holding IWU at 24. Marci Miller would claim the victory in the first set, giving her four kills.
- Set two featured back and forth play with no team leading by more than points the entire set. The Wildcats would claim the final three points of the set, topping Grand View 25-23.
- The Vikings jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back in the third set, earning seven of the first ten points in the match. IWU would fight back coming as close as two points, but a late GVU surge would down IWU 25-19.
- The fourth set would not disappoint needing 30 points to take the match. IWU would hold a comfortable five-point lead, but the Vikings would fire off five straight kills tying things at 19 points apiece. The final 11 points of the match would result in back and forth play with IWU fending off match point twice.
