Box Score 1 SIOUX CITY, Iowa. – Indiana Wesleyan volleyball is headed to the NAIA Round of 16 for the first time in program history. The Wildcats defeated Concordia (Neb.), 3-2 to force a tiebreaker match with Montana Tech. The two squads squared off in a race to 25-points with the Wildcats defeating the Diggers, 25-20 just before 2 a.m. EST. The Wildcats finished 2-1 in Pool Play.
IWU will head into Pool Play with a record of 37-2.
INSIDE THE BOX VERSE NO.15 CONCORDIA
- Alex Falcone tallied her eighth 50-plus assist performance, collecting 54 against Concordia. It was the most by any player.
- Kelly Miller and Marci Miller led the way for IWU totaling 17 kills between the sisters. Kelly edged Marci with 14 kills to 13.
- IWU matched their season-high for digs in a match with 106. IWU has gone over the 80-plus mark just four times this season. The Wildcats have played in just 12 matches this season that went more than three sets.
- Both teams committed a high amount of attacking errors resulting in a .127 hitting percentage for Indiana Wesleyan, and a .118 hitting percentage for Concordia.
- 21 blocks were recorded in the match, with Concordia collecting 12 and Indiana Wesleyan blocking nine.
