Big Win Caps 2019 for Women's Basketball

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball finished off 2019 Wednesday, with a win over Calumet St. Joe, 93-55. Anne Secrest led the way for IWU, netting a season-high 18 points, also tying her career-high.

                                                                    

 

INSIDE THE BOX

  • Anne Secrest exploded in the first half, leading IWU with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
  • Adrianna Trexler grabbed five boards for an IWU high at the half, while Dayton Groninger and Carly Lange each grabbed four.
  • Trexler collected her first career double-double Tuesday, scoring 16 points while grabbing ten rebounds off the bench for IWU.
  • Five different Wildcats scored in double figures, while the IWU bench netted 36 points compared to CCJC’s 11 points.
  • IWU scored 42 points in the paint while the Crimson Wave mustered 20.
  • In her home debut, transfer Gabby Suarez dished out a team and career-best seven assists in the contest. The Kissimmee, Florida native added ten points and five rebounds in addition to the seven assists off the bench.
