Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan men’s basketball survived a thriller Saturday, at the hands of a Kyle Manags’ game-winner. Trailing by four at the half, an 11-2 run to start the second half fueled an 82-79 win over Shawnee State.
Kyle Mangas was held to four points in the first half. Manags would start the second half scoring the first ten points of the game, en route to finishing with 25 points.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Seth Maxwell poured in a team-high 28 points to lead the Wildcats, with 20 coming in the second half.
- Canaan Coffey and Spencer Piercefield were red hot from deep, combining to shoot 9-of-14.
- Indiana Wesleyan shot zero free throws in the first quarter while Shawnee State shot seven. Indiana Wesleyan would take 13 free throws in the second half, shooting 8-for-8 to start the free-throw train.
- IWU found a rhythm sharing the basketball, collecting 12 assists on 14 made shots in the first half. The finished the game with 20 assists on 30 made buckets.
