Box Score LIVONIA, Mich. – Indiana Wesleyan men’s basketball battled back from five down Tuesday night but fell in the end, 107-105 in double overtime. Tanner Rubio brought IWU within three, matched by a Kyle Manags three with 14-seconds left sending the game into overtime.
Mangas would put the Wildcats up three with 50-seconds left, but a clutch Madonna three by Dwight Burton would force a second overtime.
Mangas knocked down his sixth three of the game with 30-seconds left, squaring the game up at 105 apiece. The Wildcats would commit a foul on the final play, sending Burton to the line clinching the 107-105 for the Crusaders.
It is the first double-overtime game for the Wildcats since January 30, 2018 when they defeated Marian 87-82.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Mangas finished the contest with 40-points, the second 40-point game of his career. Mangas also grabbed ten rebounds, for his 13th double-double in his career.
- Seth Maxwell poured in 31 for IWU, setting a new career-high. He added a team-high 11 rebounds for his second double-double in his career.
- Indiana Wesleyan committed a season-high 22 turnovers, the most in a game since December 17, 2014 when they committed 25 against Puerto Rico-Bayamon.
NEXT TIME OUT
- The Wildcats will participate in the IU East Classic playing East-West (Dec. 20) and Shawnee State (Dec. 21).
