Box Score 2 PRESCOTT, Ariz. – Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball survived a thriller Monday, defeating Embry Riddle Aeronautical, 77-68. Kicking off game one in Arizona, the Wildcats led by ten with three minutes remaining in the game, but a pesky Eagles squad threatened late coming within six. Indiana Wesleyan would finish the game 6-of-8 from the line.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Entering the starting lineup for the first time in her career, freshman Adrianna Trexler took full advantage scoring 12-points on 6-of-8 shooting in the first half. Trexler finished with 17 points on eight made shots, setting a new career-high for made field goals in a game.
- In the first half, IWU shot at a 59% clip, knocking down 16 of their 27 shots. Nine of the Wildcats 16 shots were assisted on. ERAU was hot from behind the arc, shooting 45% on 5-of-11 shooting.
- IWU held the Eagles to just 29 total rebounds, 13 shy of their season average. It’s just the second time this season ERAU has been outrebounded.
- Anne Secrest recorded her first double-double as a Wildcat dropping 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
