Box Score MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan volleyball claimed the programs 10th Crossroads League Regular Season Championship Wednesday, in a straight-sets victory over Goshen. IWU finished the regular season with just one blemish and 31 victories. Their record of 17-1 in League play gave them a share of the Championship with Marian, but the No. 1 overall seed in the upcoming Crossroads League Tournament.
IWU has won three of the last five Crossroads League Regular Season Championships.
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Allison Sparrow led all Wildcats with 12 kills while Marci Miller and Anna Collar collected 11 and ten respectively.
- Alex Falcone tallied 45 assists while Goshen’s top assisted maker was Ally Roehr with 17.
- IWU hit .417 as a team while GC mustered .157.
REGULAR SEASON STATS
- IWU finished the regular season with a record of 31-1 and 17-1 in League play. IWU is one of just two teams in the country with one loss, with Marian (Ind.) being the other in the Top-25. Northwestern (Iowa) is the only team with a perfect record in the Top-25 poll.
- Marci Miller led the Wildcats with 348 kills this season, and Rachel Klitxing came in second with 315 edging out Kelly Miller who tallied 313. Both Miller’s finished in the Top-5 in kills per-set in Crossroads League play.
- Top-10 in the NAIA in assists, Alex Falcone finished the regular season with 1,203, good for most assists in a set in League play.
- As a team, IWU sits #2 in the country in assists per game, hitting percentage, and kills per-game.

- I am extremely proud of how my team played and grew this season. What they accomplished on and off the court is something they should be proud of. We can celebrate this Championship as a team, but tomorrow the season starts over for everybody.
