Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan women’s soccer claimed a share of the Crossroads Regular Season Championship Saturday, in a 3-0 victory over Bethel University. It was the Lexis Garcia and Sydney Brown show for the second straight match, with Brown netting two goals and Garcia collecting a goal and an assist in the match.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Garcia has been on a tear against League opponents, netting nine goals while assisting her teammates on two different occasions for a total of 20 points.
- Brown has been an assist machine, helping her team on five different occasions while netting three goals. Brown has 12 points in League play alone.
- Sam Castaneda now has nine shutouts on the season and 78 saves. Castaneda has allowed just four goals in League play this season.
- The IWU defense allowed just six total shots in the match, while Bethel surrendered 22 shots with IWU landing 11 on goals.
