Box Score 2 BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The first weekend is in the books for No. 22 Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball. The Wildcats lost 3-1 to Xavier (La.) and 3-0 to No. 1 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) to finish the Crossover Challenge in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
FAST START
Kelly Miller continued her productive start to the 2018 season on Saturday. Miller led the Wildcats with 17 kills vs. Xavier and tied for the team-lead with 10 kills vs. Lindsey Wilson. She tallied 72 kills in four matches this weekend for 4.5 kills/set.
TOP-NOTCH COMPETITION
Indiana Wesleyan played defending national champion and top-ranked Lindsey Wilson plus a pair of teams receiving votes – Campbellsville (Ky.) and Reinhardt (Ga.) – this weekend. The only non-ranked opponent was Xavier who finished the Challenge with a 3-1 record with the lone blemish a 3-1 defeat to No. 17 Georgetown (Ky.).
NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
Indiana Wesleyan opens the Crossroads League schedule on Wednesday vs. Spring Arbor (Mich.) at Luckey Arena. The home opener begins at 7 p.m.
