INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan softball jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead and never looked back defeating Taylor University 7-2. Carlie Weaver pitched a gem from the rubber allowing just four hits in five innings with four strikeouts. 

The Wildcats will meet No. 2 Marian University in the Crossroads League Tournament Championship game tomorrow for the second consecutive season.

• “I couldn’t imagine the first inning going that well and it really set the tone for us the rest of the game. I thought our defense was phenomenal and we pitched very well. We love having the opportunity to play a top team tomorrow, but the beauty is we have already locked in our spot in the National Tournament.”
