WINONA LAKE, Ind. –In a match where both teams had equal opportunities, the Lancers struck first handing Indiana Wesleyan women’s soccer the 1-0 loss. Corinne Villalobos scored the lone goal of the match in the seventh minute, assisted by Jenni Phillips and Allison Vroon. IWU fired off 16 shots in the match landing eight on goal, while GC landed five on goal in 15 attempts.

“Tonight was a very physical and sloppy match.  We are still working on trying to put together an entire 90 minutes of play, and giving up an early goal is never a good start. We will learn from this one and look forward to bouncing back and getting back on the training grounds tomorrow.”
