INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan softball team had earned a trip to the NAIA National Championship following a 9-5 win over Taylor (Ind.) in the Crossroads League Tournament in Indianapolis. IWU advances to the league championship game vs. No. 4 Marian (Ind.) where both teams have already locked up national tournament bids.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Victoria Boyer cleared the bases with a 3-run double in the 1st inning for the early 3-0 Wildcat lead. The Trojans got two back in the bottom of the 1st for a 3-2 game.
• Kristen Exposito and Lauren Buckley produced RBI hits in the 3rd inning as Indiana Wesleyan upped the lead to 5-2.
• Kristen Exposito gave the Wildcats a lot of breathing room in the 4th inning with a two-out grand slam as IWU now led 9-2.
• TU answered with a three spot in the home half of the 4th to make it a 9-5 score. But Kaisey Carson allowed just one more hit over the final three innings to secure the Wildcat win.
• Kristen Exposito and Victoria Boyer combined for all nine Indiana Wesleyan RBIs.
