MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University women’s basketball shut down Grace (Ind.) 62-47 in the NCCAA Midwest Regional Tournament Quarterfinals. Grace was held to 28-percent shooting and just one made 3-pointer.

• Grace was limited to 28.6-percent shooting on the night on 16-of-56 shooting. The Lancers managed just four assists to 15 turnovers.
• Indiana Wesleyan tied a season-high with 31 3-point attempts, including 20 attempts in the first half. IWU finished 7-of-31 for 22.6-percent shooting. Grace managed just 1-of-16 (6.3-percent) shooting from beyond the arc.
• Grace went to the foul line 18 more times than Indiana Wesleyan as the Lancers were 14-of-21 (66.7-percent) from the charity stripe while IWU connected on all three attempts. Grace did not attempt a free throw attempt in their first game at Luckey Arena earlier this season.

• “We are happy to be going to Rochester, New York to play Roberts Wesleyan. We hope to pick up two wins there and then go to Grace for the national tournament. Tonight our defense played well. We changed up our normal zone and went into a bit of a matchup zone. Our defense played well and we are very thankful for it.”

• Indiana Wesleyan advances to the final site of the NCCAA Midwest Regional Tournament in Rochester, New York which hosts the two semifinals and the regional championship game. IWU plays top-seed and host Roberts Wesleyan (N.Y.) in a semifinal contest on March 10.
