- Indiana Wesleyan scored the first seven points of the second half to take a 45-42 lead. Lane Mahurin scored seven of the first nine Wildcat points to begin the second half.
- Lane Mahurin hit one of two free throws with 14:17 left in the game to give the Wildcats a 50-49 lead. It broke the 16th tie of the game and was the 9th and final lead change.
- Trevor Lockwood scored in the paint to bring Huntington to within one point with 8:19 remaining. But Indiana Wesleyan did not surrender the lead and slowly increased their lead to a game-high 11 points at 80-69 with under two minutes on the clock.
- Three Wildcats scored 18 or more points. Lane Mahurin had 24 points, Jonny Marlin had 20 points, and Bob Peters scored 18 points. The trio combined for 62 of the 87 IWU points on 24-of-41 shooting.
- Indiana Wesleyan won the battle of the boards 35-26 and they earned 10 offensive rebounds. Lane Mahurin collected a season-best 11 rebounds.
- The Foresters were led by Derek Hinen with a game-best 30 points. He was 12-of-24 shooting.
