MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University women’s soccer played visiting Grace (Ind.) to a scoreless draw in the NCCAA Midwest Regional Championship match on a cold and blustery evening at Wildcat Field. Grace earned the automatic bid to the NCCAA National Tournament as they won a 3-2 PK shootout.

• Grace outshot Indiana Wesleyan by an 18-7 margin and held a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal.
• Jess Humphrey compiled six saves in net for Indiana Wesleyan in 110 minutes. It is the first shutout of her career.
• The Wildcats had just two shots and zero shots on goal during regulation. But in overtime the Wildcats accumulated five shots and three shots on goal.
• Grace earns the region’s automatic bid to the NCCAA National Tournament with the victory.

UP NEXT FOR WOMEN’S SOCCER

• Indiana Wesleyan has finished the 2016 season with the loss to Grace. IWU ends the season with an 11-7-3 record which is the most wins in a season since 2012.
