- Indiana Wesleyan held a 26-23 lead on two Lance Mahurin free throws with 8:53 left in the first half.
- Grace scored the next 14 points to gain a 37-26 advantage with 4:11 to go in the first half.
- The Wildcats went just under five minutes without a point and seven minutes between field goals during the first half slump.
- Grant Evans (SO/Selma, Ind.) connected on a 3-point basket late in the opening half to close the gap to four points but Brandon Vanderhegghen answered with a 3-pointer for Grace to close out the first half scoring and give Grace a 45-38 lead at the break.
- The first six minutes of the second half featured a 20-9 stretch by Grace to extend their advantage to 65-47. The 18 point lead was the largest of the afternoon.
- Indiana Wesleyan made a late run to close to within seven points at 72-65 with 5:43 to go. But Grace responded with a 6-0 run to pull away for the win.
- Lane Mahurin (JR/Rockville, Ind.) had a game-high 29 points along with 8 rebounds. He was 10-of-16 from the floor and 5-of-7 from 3-point range.
- Bob Peters (JR/Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) added 26 points and was 4-of-7 from beyond the arc while Jonny Marlin (SR/Greenwood, Ind.) added 12 points and 6 assists.
- Grace shot 60.0-percent (30 of 50) from the field and 66.7-percent (14 of 21) during the second half.
